A school performance report with a view for the principal and one for each teacher, plus a page that predicts every student’s third-term score so staff can step in before final exams.
The question
Students were doing badly in final exams, and the school only found out when the results came in. The report gives the school a live view of performance during the year, and an early warning for each student while there is still time to help.
A view for each person
The principal’s view covers the whole school: 400 students, 51 staff, a teacher to student ratio of 1 to 10 and an average pass rate of 62.55%, with students broken down by gender, class, department and term. Each teacher gets a view of their own subject, with every student’s first and second term scores and the pass rate for each class.
The early warning
The predictions page lists every student with their library hours, attendance and first and second term scores, next to a predicted third-term score. Colour runs from red to blue, so the students who need attention stand out first. A search box and class filter find any student quickly.
